I love learning the true history behind Dan Brown's novels, but I tend to wonder how much of these special programs is factual and how much of it is just hype.

I have watched all of these programs and I am a Freemason. I can tell you that most of what is presented is opinion and speculation. There is about as much factual information as Dan Brown's 'fictional' novel. The re-enactments are the most laughable to me. The Masonic society has posted a site that will address the Lost Symbol and try to clarify what is factual and what is fiction. You should take a look. http://www.freemasonlostsymbol.com . This will at least begin to educate the public on what it is really all about.
ReplyDeleteBill, thanks for the link. I will definitely check it out. As I watched Secrets of the Founding Fathers on the History Channel last night, I did find that most of the "secrets" seemed absurd. Unfortunately, entertainment sells!
